Amphenol-Tuchel Electronics has expanded its product range by introducing the flat Octagonal BRIDGEBLOCK SIM Reader to the market.

Features included: flat height of 2.0 mm; minimized surface area for very compact designs, optimized card guidance and small footprint. The space saving is more than 17% compared to rectangular readers. This free space can be used for additional components. The connector is assembled on the circuit board by SMD-technology, and meets highest co-planarity standards.

The BRIDGEBLOCK meets the requirements of RoHS and WEEE. Tape-and-reel packaging is suitable for automatic assembly using the pick-and-place process.

The new BRIDGEBLOCK is tailor-made for use in mobile phones, smart phones, GSM-modules, POS terminals, and similar applications.
